Blue Lagoon Croatia snorkeling

Snorkeling in Croatia’s Blue Lagoon – A Must-Do Activity! How can you visit Croatia and not see the stunning blue waters of the famous Blue Lagoon? It’s one of the most popular tourist attractions in all of Croatia, drawing people from all over the world to swim in its deep blue waters and admire its stunning rock formations. I was in Croatia earlier this year and I couldn’t resist doing some snorkeling at this incredible natural pool of water, so here are some tips on how to have an unforgettable time while you’re there! Is the Blue Lagoon in Croatia Worth It? Reasons to go The blue lagoon is stunningly beautiful and is a must-do activity on your trip to Croatia. The water is crystal clear, which makes it easy to explore the underwater world. There are many interesting rock formations and natural caves you can explore while exploring the lagoon. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget.  1. Stunningly beautiful water  2. Crystal clear water  What you can see The Blue Lagoon is a must-do activity when visiting the Dalmatian Coast. It is one of the most iconic parts of this region and you cannot miss it. When you first enter the lagoon, the temperature will feel quite hot due to its geothermal source; however, it quickly cools down when you go underwater. The water is a beautiful turquoise color and you can see all sorts of fish swimming around.  A must-do activity on my list: Snorkeling in Croatia’s Blue Lagoon Snorkeling and Swimming adventure in Blue Lagoon  The best undersea adventure for small private groups is the ride to the Blue Lagoon island from Trogir or Split. Swimming and snorkeling are popular among tourists who have made Split or Trogir their home for decades. If you like photography, especially underwater photography, Blue Lagoon and nearby islands are the best places to go. There are no coral reefs in Croatia, but you will see and find many different species of fish. A sandy or rocky bottom is available for swimming and snorkeling. Adriatic sea’s rich flora and fauna will leave you speechless. Our first stop is Blue Lagoon, where you will be able to swim and snorkel for an hour. Next we’ll stop by the Solinska underwater sandy beach located on the Drvenik Island. It is unquestionably the most popular beach in this area. We’ll walk down sandy beach before coming to a serene place with rocks at the shore. Take a few steps back and we’ll swim among schools of fish as well as a seagull trying to eat from your mouth. What you need To snorkel in the blue lagoon, you’ll need a bathing suit and mask. You can rent gear on site if you don’t have your own, but I recommend bringing your own to ensure that it fits well and is comfortable to wear for a long period of time. The water is very salty, so make sure to rinse off with fresh water after snorkeling. Don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses–the sun can be very strong here. It would also be a good idea to bring some food or snacks with you–it can take a while to get out of the water and back into the shade (it’s not uncommon for people to get sunburned).
