Private Sightseeing Tour of Split, Klis Fortress and Trogir

Split

Split is a beautiful coastal city where you can spend days enjoying the perfect combination of culture, incredible beaches, a great food scene, and vibrant nightlife.

The first reason to visit Split is to explore Diocletian’s Palace and the historical old town. The origins of Split are associated with the construction of Diocletian’s Palace between 295 and 305 AD. Diocletian, the Roman emperor from 284 to 305 AD, was famous for being a major reformer of the Roman Empire, introducing the system known as the tetrarchy — the simultaneous rule of four people.

He persecuted Christians and considered himself a deity. The spacious palace, built in the area now known as Split, was meant to be his retirement residence (he was the only Roman emperor to voluntarily abdicate the throne).

Once you’ve finished exploring the small streets seemingly frozen in time, the Riva opens up before you — the city’s seaside promenade, often referred to as Split’s living room. It’s a popular spot to enjoy an espresso and people-watch.

The city center is home to tasty street food and full local meals. Relaxing on one of the many beautiful beaches is the next logical thing to do, as the Adriatic Sea is one of the calmest and clearest seas you’ll ever experience. Split’s central location on the Adriatic coast makes it an ideal base for day trips.

We would be delighted if you gave us the opportunity to introduce you to the unique local traditions and unforgettable places that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Trogir

Trogir has been inhabited for more than 3,600 years.

This inspiring Mediterranean city has attracted many great masters since the time of the ancient Greeks. These masters lived and worked in Trogir, creating some of their most famous masterpieces here.

Your guide will bring the places you visit to life with stories, historical context, and insights you won’t find in any guidebook.

Klis Fortress

Klis Fortress served as a major source of defense in Dalmatia, especially against the Ottoman Empire.

Klis Fortress is one of the most beautiful fortifications in Croatia, of exceptional historical importance and value. It was built on an almost inaccessible, steep cliff between the Kozjak and Mosor mountains.

The views from the entire fortress are remarkable — especially from the top, where you can take in the sprawling city of Split and the surrounding islands.
